| Karma Kutir’s Kalakendra was
established in November 2002, with the aim of providing cultural exposure to
underprivileged women and children through training in painting and dance by
professionally qualified trainers.
|
There are many belonging to the disadvantaged section of the society who, in
spite of their interest and ability, cannot pursue their interest or avail the
necessary training due to financial incapacity.
|
|
|
Karma Kutir aims at identifying and nourishing these hidden talents from amongst
the marginalized population and bringing them to the cultural mainstream, which
will ultimately lead to a healthier social environment for all.
|

These classes are held regularly at Karma Kutir's Gariahat Road premises.
